Since 2016, influencer marketing has been growing 50% year over year according to the Influencer Marketing Hub. Despite this fast growth and importance to the advertising industry, brands do not always contract with influencers in an efficient or legally compliant manner. In this virtual presentation, you’ll learn the importance of crafting contracts with influencers; the main deal points in those transactions; and the material legal, business, and regulatory issues surrounding influencer marketing. After attending this practical, nuts-and-bolts presentation, you’ll be better prepared to issue spot and draft and negotiate influencer agreements.

Erin Amend, VP, Culture, Community & Casting, drives influencer and creator partnerships at Day One Agency. She has a decade of experience in the influencer and social marketing space, specializing in strategic brand partnerships and executions that drive organic engagement and cultural relevance.
Her experience spans industries working in the food and beverage, retail, financial services and technology spaces to connect brands with cultural influencers and thought leaders who can boost brand awareness, consideration and conversion.
Within all her work, her passion is creating brand partnerships and programming rooted in insight and purpose to tell brand stories in a unique and creative way.
Erin graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She studied abroad in Spain where she completed in minor in Spanish.

He represents The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. in connection with various investments and acquisitions, with a particular emphasis on intellectual property and right-of-publicity issues. He also represents News Corp. in connection with its digital advertising initiatives, and regularly drafts and negotiates endorsement, sponsorship, and personal appearance deals for athletes, celebrities, and major brands.
During his time as a litigator, Matt handled various entertainment, intellectual property, false advertising, right-of-publicity, and privacy disputes, including defending a copyright infringement suit filed by the Estate of Frank Zappa and assisting in the successful defense of David Chase in connection with The Sopranos.
Prior to joining Lowenstein, Matt worked for the Department of the Army, negotiating and drafting multi-million dollar procurements for communications and electronics equipment and related services, with an expertise with the FAR, DFARS, and AFARS.
