Developed in Partnership with SmartBrief, Inc.
New York, NY (July 10, 2006) – The Interactive Advertising Bureau today announced the launch of a new industry Job Board, which will provide recruiters with a much needed vehicle for hiring talent in the Interactive advertising industry. The Job Board is being offered in conjunction with SmartBrief, a leading publisher of industry trade association newsletters and specifically the IAB SmartBrief which reaches over 15,000 industry professionals daily. The Job Board offers multiple options for job listings including the IAB website, SmartBrief or a combination of the two.
Recruiting and developing talent is a challenge for the Interactive industry which grew 30% in 2005 and achieved another record quarter in Q1, 2006 of close to $4 Billion.
“In today’s competitive market, attracting the best talent is a challenge. The key to Google’s success is our unrelenting focus on hiring the best people, our primary asset. We are proud to employ the world’s best engineers and product managers as well as the most creative, intelligent and driven sales and service people out there,” said Charlie Gray, Head of US Sales Staffing, Google. “Our world-class staffing organization is focused on using all available resources to continue increasing the pace of Google’s talent acquisition and we applaud the IAB for creating a new resource for its members and the industry.”
“There is such a need for and scarcity of qualified talent in today’s marketplace,” said Greg Stuart, CEO, IAB. “We are pleased to be able to offer this service, not only to our members, but to all companies in the Interactive industry.”
The IAB website is a crucial resource for IAB members and other industry professionals looking for information on the Interactive advertising industry. It offers access to critical information including: standards and guidelines, ground-breaking research, industry events, committee activities and general information. The job board is a natural addition.
“There’s no more dynamic industry than interactive advertising and no better place to launch a job listings service,” says Rick Stamberger, President & CEO of SmartBrief, Inc. “We’re proud to partner with the IAB on launching this new job board, adding to SmartBrief’s growing group of vertical job listings services.”
