With changing viewer behaviors, it’s been a challenge for advertisers to follow viewers and create successful ad experiences. Joel Cox is the Co-Founder and EVP of Strategy & Innovation for Strategus, a programmatic managed services company specializing in executing sophisticated CTV advertising campaigns. Joel pioneered programmatic OTT advertising in 2015 and has since executed more than 50,000 campaigns. He thrives on the relentless pursuit of “What’s next in OTT and CTV advertising” and now runs Strategus’ in-house innovation and R&D department, Strategus Labs.
As a 20-year-old college student, Joel created his first online business, a peer-to-peer textbook resale website, before graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in Marketing. He began his digital career helping to develop and scale the country’s first publisher-owned ad network for Media News Group. Recognizing advertisers’ need for holistic campaign strategy, robust audience targeting and scalable inventory, Joel co-founded Strategus in 2012. He has since successfully built and deployed complex targeting & activation strategies for clients including Honda, Fox Searchlight Pictures, Burger King and Rooms to Go. Joel has had articles published in AdExchanger and Forbes Business Council, been quoted by Reuters and Consumer Reports, interviewed by the Denver Business Journal and presented at San Diego Interactive Day, International Homebuilder Show and Digital Dealer conferences.
In his free time, Joel is an avid outdoorsman who sits on the Board of Directors of the Butterfly Pavilion. He lives in Denver with his wife, Jenny, daughter, Simone and their dog, Kobe.
As the SVP, Chief Strategy Officer, Libby oversees thought leadership and content development for IAB, including the IAB Centers of Excellence. These include The Experience Center, Programmatic and Data Center, Media Center, and research functions. Additionally, Libby is responsible for editorial and content strategies for all IAB events and programming.
Most recently, Libby served as the Global President of MRM Commerce, where she launched their Strategy, Consulting, and Digital Transformation practice. Previous positions include President of The Born Group, where she focused on Digital Marketing, Commerce and Content, as well as Managing Director of iCrossing (part of Hearst). Throughout her career, Libby has partnered with clients such as Nestle, General Motors, Anheuser Busch, American Express, and Geico, among others, to help them achieve their business goals through innovative digital solutions.
